Sending Newsletter Through Mailchimp
Posted by Angel A on 20 July 2017 08:50 AM

Mailchimp is an email blasting tool that can be used with our newsletter. We can integrate all forms so that the contact information automatically goes into their Mailchimp database, please see products list for price info.

Clients don't need to integrate with Mailchimp in order to use it to send the newsletter. Below are the instructions on sending out using both systems.

1.0:

They will use the method of sending a campaign using a URL.

 http://kb.mailchimp.com/campaigns/ways-to-build/import-html-from-url-to-create-a-campaign

The URL they use will always be www.theirdomainname.com/newsletter.php (fill it in the first part with their actual domain name)

If you have someone on 2.0, they will need to import the html code from the newsletter because it frames differently on the website. If you have a legacy client who just converted, you will need to explain the new process.

In 2.0, they will follow these steps:

  1. Log in to admin panel
  2. Go to Marketing --> Newsletter
  3. Click on the green button on the same line as the newsletter they are sending out
  4. Copy the HTML using the Copy HTML button
  5. Go to Mailchimp and follow the steps for coding your own template using HTML: http://kb.mailchimp.com/campaigns/ways-to-build/paste-in-html-to-create-a-campaign
