Facebook Ads 101 for Small Businesses

Purpose: To guide clients through the process of setting up and running effective Facebook ads.

  1. Set Up Ads Manager:
    • What to do: Access Facebook Ads Manager and create an account if you don’t already have one.
    • Best Practice: Familiarize yourself with the Ads Manager interface and its tools.
  2. Define Your Objective:
    • What to do: Choose an ad objective that aligns with your goals (e.g., brand awareness, traffic, lead generation).
    • Best Practice: Start with a simple objective like “Page Likes” or “Lead Generation.”
  3. Targeting:
    • What to do: Define your audience by demographics, location, interests, and behaviors.
    • Best Practice: Use lookalike audiences based on your existing customers to reach new, similar audiences.
  4. Create the Ad:
    • What to do: Design your ad with an eye-catching image or video and compelling copy.
    • Best Practice: Keep ad copy short and include a strong CTA (e.g., “Shop Now,” “Learn More”).
  5. Set a Budget:
    • What to do: Start with a small daily budget to test ad performance.
    • Best Practice: Monitor the ad’s performance and adjust the budget based on results.
